Tokyo Hikikomori Support Net

In addition to the traditional telephone and email consultations offered by the Tokyo Hikikomori Support Network, the network also provides services such as visiting households with hikikomori issues to provide consultation.
The city handles reception of home visits and consultations from the Tokyo Hikikomori Support Network.
Each person can receive free in-home consultation up to approximately five times .
Our specialist counselors will assist you, so please do not worry alone or try to handle it on your own as a family member; instead, please consult us first.

Tokyo Hikikomori Support Net

Families eligible for on-site consultation

This applies to households that meet all of the following criteria:
・The hikikomori is between 15 and 34 years old, after completing compulsory education. ・The hikikomori lives in Tokyo. ・The hikikomori has been in a state of withdrawal for more than six months.

If you would like to request an on-site consultation, please contact the Children and Youth Division.
Note: If you appear to be seeking consultation, we will ask you for basic information such as your name, contact information, and whether you are eligible for on-site consultation.
Note: Since the information of the person seeking advice will be transferred to "Tokyo Hikikomori Support Net," the person seeking advice must agree to provide personal information. A counselor from the "Tokyo Hikikomori Support Net" will contact you by phone at a later date.
