Becoming a citizen guardian: Notice of recruitment of participants for the "Citizen Guardian Training Course"

We are recruiting participants for a course to train civil guardian candidates.
A civil guardian is a guardian who is not a professional such as a lawyer or a relative. Appointed by the family court, they manage assets and enter into contracts for welfare services on behalf of people who lack the capacity to make decisions.

Those who live in Inagi City, Chofu City, Hino City, Komae City, or Tama City and who are able to watch and understand the "preliminary briefing session" and attend the group training (others can watch the video training).

On-the-job training | Early June to July 2025 | 8 days of group training weekday afternoons (approx. 3 hours) |
Field Training | From September 2025 to March 2026 | 1 to 2 times a month (about 2 to 3 hours each time) |
Application method
Please mail or bring the following two items:
- Resume (prescribed format, available from the link below)
- Essay: "What is my view of citizen guardians?" (1,000 to 1,200 characters. Please indicate the number of characters in the text)
For writing, use manuscript paper with 400 characters per page, and if using a computer, format the essay with 20 characters by 20 lines. The title will not be included in the character count.

Applications must arrive between Monday, December 2, 2024 and Monday, January 20, 2025
