Mandatory wearing of microchips for dogs and cats
Updated: June 1, 2022
Microchip registration system for dogs and cats
From June 1, 2020, dogs and cats sold at breeders and pet shops will be required to be microchipped.
Dogs and cats purchased from breeders, pet shops, etc. are microchipped, so "change registration" is required to change the microchip information to the owner himself.
In addition, if a dog or cat that has not been microchipped is newly microchipped at a veterinary hospital, it is necessary to register the owner information of the microchip.
If you already have a dog or cat, please microchip your dog or cat as much as possible.
A microchipped dog is considered a rabies tag.
For details on the microchip registration system for dogs and cats, please see the website of the Ministry of the Environment below.

Guidance on moving out and moving in
Dogs that have completed microchip registration do not need to report moving out or moving in to the city. Therefore, please access the URL below and follow the procedures to change the location of your dog.
