Usage fee calculation

The sewerage system usage fee is calculated according to the following table.
Note 1: Please use Table 1 when calculating the usage fee for one month, and Table 2 when calculating the usage fee for two months.
Note 2: Normally, calculations are made for two months at a time, so please use Table 2.
Note 3: With the increase in the consumption tax rate and local consumption tax rate enforced on October 1, 2019, the amount equivalent to the consumption tax included in the sewage system usage fee will change from 8% to 10%. A 10% consumption tax equivalent will be applied to the sewage system usage fee calculated for December 2019.

Calculation example 1: When monthly water consumption in a general household is 20 cubic meters
(When calculated as 10% for consumption tax equivalent)
- 8 cubic meters or less
560 yen
- More than 8 square meters and up to 20 cubic meters
12 cubic meters x 110 yen = 1,320 yen
total
560 yen + 1,320 yen = 1,880 yen
1 month usage fee
1,880 yen x 1.10 (equivalent to consumption tax) = 2,068 yen.

Calculation example 2: When water consumption for two months is 40 cubic meters in a general household
(When calculated as 10% equivalent to consumption tax)
- Minutes less than 16 cubic meters = 1,120 yen
- Over 16 cubic meters and up to 40 cubic meters = 24 cubic meters x 110 yen = 2,640 yen
total
1,120 yen + 2,640 yen = 3,760 yen
2 months usage fee
3,760 yen x 1.10 (consumption tax equivalent) = 4,136 yen.
