How to properly dispose of lithium-ion batteries
Updated: October 3, 2024
Lithium-ion batteries (small rechargeable batteries) and products containing them are a fire hazard! Recycle computers and small home appliances correctly!
Lithium-ion batteries are used in many rechargeable small home appliances (mobile batteries, handy fans, electric toothbrushes, heated cigarettes, etc.). Lithium-ion batteries can generate intense heat and catch fire if excessive force is applied to them, which is extremely dangerous. In recent years, fires in garbage trucks and recycling processing facilities have been rapidly increasing. When disposing of small rechargeable home appliances that are no longer needed, please dispose of and recycle them correctly to avoid any danger.

Points to prevent fire
(1) When disposing of rechargeable home appliances, carefully check the product's instruction manual.
(2) When disposing of unnecessary items, carefully check how to separate the garbage.
Note: Computers and small home appliances contain useful metals. We ask all citizens and businesses to recycle appropriately based on the Small Home Appliance Recycling Law.
Before putting out your garbage, please double check the separation!
