About crime prevention activities in 2020

The Safe and Secure Town Development Promotion Council has set its activity goals for 2020 as ``under 250 cases of criminal offenses recognized'', ``reducing theft by 15%'', and ``reducing special fraud damage to zero''. I've been doing it.
The number of criminal code offenses in the city in 2020 was 256 (236 in the previous year), which unfortunately did not reach the "under 250" category and was an 8.5% increase compared to the previous year. The number of theft cases was 173 (compared to 171 the previous year), an increase of 1.2% from the previous year, and the target was not achieved.
Regarding special fraud, there were 6 cases resulting in damage of approximately 7.77 million yen (9 cases in the previous year, approximately 7.6 million yen), and although the number of cases has decreased, the amount of damage has increased, and there is still a large amount of damage caused. The situation continues to require vigilance.

Patrol activities by crime prevention registered groups
We provide security goods in the city!
Patrol activities by crime prevention groups registered with the city are carried out every day and night.
A total of 840 sessions were held during 2020, with a total of 14,785 participants.

Personal Volunteer Registration for Crime Prevention Activities
The crime prevention activity individual volunteer registration system was started in November 2016, and crime prevention activities are carried out on a daily basis.
As of December 31, 2020, 26 people are registered.

Security patrol car patrol
Crime prevention activities using blue revolving light security patrol vehicles are carried out every day.
A total of 262 sessions were held during 2020.
City-wide security patrol
Sponsored by the Inagi City Safe and Secure Community Development Promotion Council, on the third Wednesday of July and December every year, crime prevention groups conduct citywide crime prevention patrols at seven locations in the city. I am.
In 2020, the event was held on July 20th and December 21st to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection and to avoid crowding at the venue, with 803 people and 148 groups (July) and 758 people, respectively. Many citizens participated, including 150 people and organizations (in December).

2020 Inagi City Crime Prevention Gathering
The Inagi City Safety and Security Community Development Promotion Council, the Inagi City Federation of Neighborhood Associations, and the Tama Inagi Crime Prevention Association jointly held the "Inagi City Crime Prevention Gathering" every January. Canceled due to the coronavirus situation.
17th Inagi Ekiden Crime Prevention Patrol
The event was held in May every year by the Tama Inagi Crime Prevention Association with the aim of raising awareness of crime prevention among citizens.
