Can I leave my child at a licensed nursery school unless I go out to work?

Updated: December 3, 2014

If you meet the childcare authorization requirements, you can apply for use. However, we will guide you to places with vacancies in the kindergarten you wish to use, starting with the one with the highest index.
Authorized nursery schools are child welfare facilities that take care of children on behalf of parents for those who cannot take care of their children during the day. Also, you can apply if you are taking care of a family member or taking care of a sick person. For detailed conditions, please refer to the "Guidelines for Using Nursery Schools, etc." or contact the Child Care Support Division.
