QuestionI visited a medical institution outside the city, and I was unable to use the Medical Expenses certificate for Infants and Young Children and compulsory education students. I would like to know how to apply for medical expense assistance.

The payment at the counter with the medical certificate (in-kind benefits) is only applicable at medical institutions within Tokyo. For medical expenses covered by your child's insurance paid at medical institutions outside the Tokyo area, please attach the receipt to the "Application Form for Medical Assistance Payment" and submit it to the Child Care Support Division. After review, the payment will be transferred to the registered account. (Approximately 2 months later)
