Updated: September 16, 2019

The Inagi City Fire Department team won 1st and 3rd place in the tower run competition held at Yokota Air Base on September 11, 2019, and was also able to receive individual awards.
I was able to demonstrate the results of my daily training and was able to win a splendid victory.

What is Tower Run

This project was held to commemorate the 343 firefighters who died in the line of duty in the terrorist attacks that occurred in New York on September 11, 2001.

Using a building in the Yokota Air Base, teams of four compete for the fastest time by carrying breathing apparatus on the stairs equivalent to the 110th floor of the World Trade Center, which was the site of the accident at the time.
32 teams from Inagi City Fire Department, Tokyo Fire Department, Yokota Air Base Fire Brigade, U.S. Air Force, and Japan Self-Defense Force participated.
