[Regarding urban infrastructure development] Is the development of Tsurugaoka-kaido Road from Inagi Station to Wakabadai Station progressing? |
They are requesting that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government adopt a new development plan and give it a higher priority. In particular, they are requesting early action regarding the section from the entrance of Komazawa Gakuen to Wakabadai. |
[About urban infrastructure development] What are the plans for improving the Misawa River in the Sakahama area? |
We are making requests and requests to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Specifically, there is the issue of alternative land along the road. It has been postponed for a while because it is difficult to resolve the issue, but if we look at the project as a whole, land acquisition is progressing, so we request that it be resolved as soon as possible. |
[About urban infrastructure development] Regarding the Misawa River, the area around 563 Sakahama is dangerous, but will this be addressed in the future? |
Currently, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is making improvements to the Misawa River, such as widening the river, so that it can handle rainfall of 50 millimeters per hour. This plan received business approval in 2012, and work has begun. We are currently in the process of designing and acquiring land, so we will continue to request the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to prepare it as soon as possible. |
[About urban infrastructure development] Sakahama feels like it is being left behind by Inagi City as a whole. I would like to see Sakahama build something that will become a symbol of Inagi, extend the promenade along the Misawa River, and carry out expansion work with an eye to the future. |
Inagi City's current major projects include land readjustment projects in the Kamihirao and Odara districts, and the maintenance of Tsurukawa Kaido and the Misawa River. Sakahama is the center of surface maintenance, including the development of sewerage facilities. As the roads and rivers will be constructed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, we would like to make requests to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The city would like to work together with the metropolitan government to improve roadside improvements. |
[About urban infrastructure development] I would like to ask if there are any plans for urban planning projects in the Sakahama area, especially around Hozoin. |
Previously, the area around Hozoin Temple was scheduled to undergo a land readjustment project implemented by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, but there are currently no plans for land readjustment. As an alternative, we are proceeding with the development based on the Sakahama Nishi District Plan. For example, we are carrying out widening work on the road in front of the Kamiyato Experience Learning Center. Because of priorities, we are considering the target area as an issue and would like to address it in the future. |
[About urban infrastructure development] I heard that City Road No. 11 has the second priority, is that true? Will you be purchasing land from now on? |
City Road No. 11 is the second highest priority. Surveying is currently underway, and the alignment of the road is being worked on this year. |
[About i-bus] Regarding the i-bus, I would like the route from Sakahama to Wakabadai to be restored. |
Although it is not possible to revive one route, we will incorporate it into the overall opinion and discuss it. I asked a private route bus company to take my bus to the Wakabadai rotary. It is an alternative to i-Bus, so please use it. |
[About i-bus] After 10 years of being established as a public bus, the bus has become accustomed to being used, so why was the route revised? This review has made it more difficult for citizens to use the service. I would like to go back to the previous route. |
This review was discussed at a council made up of bus operators, government agencies that approve routes, police, city hall, and user representatives. In the route map before the revision, there was a large difference between areas with many buses and areas with few. In addition, there were various bad points, such as delays occurring if buses did not accelerate suddenly when operating. There were many opinions that these issues should be revised, so the revision was made. However, there was little time for discussion among the committee members, and we regret that we were unable to discuss a specific course of review. In the end, the time came for a review, and we carried out the review based on the best proposal that came up from the review committee. Since the service began, we have received a variety of opinions from citizens. Regarding the next review, we will discuss it at the local public transport meeting, so we would like the local representatives to convey their opinions clearly. We will also work on the parts that can be tackled without reviewing. |
[About iBus] I would like the issues discussed at the regional public transportation meeting to be addressed properly. |
Unlike in the past, it has been upgraded to a statutory council, and many members, including user representatives from each region, are discussing it. Although it is not possible to reflect all opinions, we believe that we can consolidate many opinions. |
[About iBus] There are no buses that go to stations along the Nambu Line from the Sakahama, Wakabadai, and Nagamine areas, so I would like one to be built. |
We are making a request to the bus operator. |
[About Town Meetings] As mayor, how will you respond to the voices of citizens at town meetings in each district? |
In order to maintain a sense of the field, we attend town meetings and events in each area, and receive a variety of opinions during these meetings. However, it is not possible to fulfill all opinions, and sometimes we receive completely opposite opinions. We would like to listen to many opinions and consolidate them into the greatest common denominator. |
