This system has been implemented since October 1, 2019, when the consumption tax became a multiple tax rate of 10% standard tax rate and 8% reduced tax rate.
Since the start of the invoice system on October 1, 2020, in order for buyers to receive purchase tax credits, they are required to save invoices issued by sellers.
The person who can issue an invoice is one who has been registered as a qualified invoice issuing business, and is obligated to issue an invoice in response to a buyer's request. There will be an obligation to preserve electromagnetic records related to invoices.
For taxable transactions, if you pay using a payment notice issued by the city, we will issue a qualified invoice even if you do not request a qualified invoice in advance.
For other taxable transactions, we will issue qualified invoices at the request of the purchasing business.
Consumption taxable businesses that issue qualified invoices are requested to issue invoices that meet the requirements for qualified invoices.
