Inagi City Landscape Color Guidelines

Updated: April 9, 2018

Background (How the Inagi City Landscape Color Guidelines were created)

Characteristics of Inagi City and past efforts

Inagi City is characterized by its rich natural environment, including the lush Tama Hills and the Tama and Misawa rivers, while in areas where urban development is progressing through Tama New Town and land readjustment projects, uniform townscapes with unique regional characteristics are being formed.
Inagi City is taking advantage of this natural environment and promoting the preservation and development of beautiful townscapes through urban development, with the aim of creating "beautiful townscapes that breathe the seasons." Cityscape ( ) In March 1998, the Inagi City Landscape Master Plan was formulated, which is based on the concept of rear ( ) Based on this plan, we have been working to create a beautiful landscape by implementing landscape-related policies from various perspectives, such as promoting the undergrounding of electrical wires, creating "beautiful streetscapes" by utilizing the district planning system, and designating conservation green spaces.

Recent situation

In recent years, residents' interest in urban landscapes has been increasing year by year due to the enforcement of the Landscape Law in 2004 and conflicts between neighboring residents regarding the color of buildings in other cities.
For this reason, in 2010, the city began formulating the Inagi City Landscape Color Guidelines, which will serve as standards for building colors in order to maintain and preserve the city's townscape.

Regarding enforcement of “Inagi City Landscape Color Guidelines”

The Inagi City Landscape Color Guidelines were formulated based on the results of a current survey of buildings in the city, the discussions and recommendations of the Landscape Creation Forum, and the contents of public comments (opinions solicited) received from May 23, 2011 to June 23, 2011, and came into effect on October 1, 2011.
For citizens and businesses, new building construction and Reconstruction ( ) Please feel free to use this when repainting walls, etc.
