Inagi City Bridges, etc. Long Life Repair Plan
Updated: June 5, 2024
Inagi City has formulated a long-life repair plan for bridges and tunnels that are 5 meters or longer that it manages. At present, there are no bridges that are more than 50 years old, but in 20 years, half of the bridges will be 50 years old, and the number of aging bridges will increase rapidly.
For this reason, we have formulated a long life repair plan with the following three main objectives:
Main purpose of life extension repair plan
1. Cost reduction due to longer life
By shifting from conventional symptomatic treatment to systematic and preventive maintenance, we aim to extend the service life of bridges and reduce medium- to long-term maintenance and management costs.
2. Budget leveling
By introducing preventive maintenance and systematically carrying out repair work, we will level out maintenance costs in the future.
3. Ensuring the safety and reliability of road networks
Early detection of damage that can lead to accidents, etc., and systematically advancing bridge inspections, repairs, and replacements will keep bridges in optimal condition so as not to hinder traffic, and improve the safety and reliability of the road network. to ensure
