The Inagi City Disaster Response Support Plan has been established
In large-scale disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake, the Kumamoto Earthquake, and the heavy rain in July 2018, the administrative functions of the affected municipalities significantly declined immediately after the disaster, making it difficult to adequately respond to the acceptance of support municipalities and disaster prevention agencies, as well as to consolidate support needs. Additionally, securing the necessary personnel amidst the enormous emergency recovery operations became a challenge.
In this context, Tokyo Metropolitan Government formulated the Tokyo Disaster Response Support Plan in January 2018, establishing procedures and rules for the support system in collaboration with municipalities to facilitate early support for affected areas.
Therefore, to build a support system in collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Inagi City formulated the Inagi City Disaster Response Support Plan in June 2022, clarifying roles, contact points, specific rules, procedures, and systems related to the support system during disasters based on the Inagi City Regional Disaster Prevention Plan, with the aim of establishing a smooth cooperation system with other municipalities and disaster prevention agencies.
