About local life support bases, etc.

What is a community life support base?

Community life support bases, etc. are facilities for persons with disabilities and their families, so that persons with disabilities can continue to live with peace of mind in areas where they are accustomed to living, in anticipation of the increasing severity and aging of persons with disabilities and "after the death of their parents." It is a system that supports life in the whole area. The functions provided by the community life support bases are shown in the table below.

Five functions such as community life support base
consultation After understanding in advance which households are unlikely to receive emergency support, we will ensure a constant contact system and provide necessary consultation support in emergency situations.
Acceptance and response in case of emergency After securing a constant emergency acceptance system using short-term admission, etc., take necessary measures such as accepting facilities such as short-term admission and contacting medical institutions in the event of an emergency such as a sudden illness of a caregiver.
Provision of experience opportunities and venues Provide opportunities and places to use welfare services for persons with disabilities such as group homes and experience living alone when moving from hospitals and facilities to the community and becoming independent from parents.
Securing and cultivating professional human resources We will secure a system and develop human resources that can provide specialized support for those who require medical care or who have behavioral disorders.
Regional system building
  • A coordinator will be assigned using the core consultation support center, outsourced consultation support project, specific consultation support, general consultation support, etc., to secure a service provision system that can respond to the various needs of the community, and to develop a cooperation system for local social resources. construction etc.
  • In addition to providing necessary services, we will strive to maintain the lives of people with disabilities, etc., by giving consideration to the prevention and early detection of abuse and the protection of human rights.

Local life support bases, etc. in Inagi City

There are two types of development methods indicated by the government: the multifunctional base development type (consolidating the necessary functions into specific facilities) and the area development type (multiple institutions share the functions). Inagi City will adopt a wide-area development, strengthen the network that connects all existing social resources, and develop a system to play a role in each institution.

About support recipients

For emergency support, you need to register in advance through the planning office (eligible person registration notification). For inquiries about registration, please contact the Core Consultation Support Center (Inagi City) or each planning consultation office.
Note: In principle, those who meet the "definition of support recipients" are eligible for registration.

From the perspective of strengthening the functions of a regional life support base, etc., Inagi City stipulates that various functions are to be implemented in the management regulations, and the city is notified that the business establishment is responsible for the functions of a regional life support base, etc. It is certified as a "base function office". In notification, please contact Disability Welfare Division in advance.

Documents required for notification

  • Application form pertaining to registration of a business office that performs functions such as community life support bases
  • A copy of the operating regulations that stipulate that the facility will function as a community life support base, etc.

Note: Please submit a change notification form to the city together with specific consultation support and consultation support offices for children with disabilities.
