About the collection of success stories of foreign care workers
Update date: April 26, 2023
As part of the FY2022 Social Welfare Promotion Project, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare conducted surveys and interviews with foreign care workers working with the "caregiving" residence status, as well as facilities and businesses. Based on the results, the ministry has compiled a "Collection of Case Studies of Foreign Care Workers Utilizing Their Expertise Working with the "Caregiving" Residence Status." Please make use of this.
Purpose of creating a case study collection
- By conveying the history and activities of foreign care workers who work in foreign countries with their expertise from their arrival in Japan to the present, we will communicate the expertise and appeal of care workers, and also raise awareness of the earthquakes of foreign care workers. Use it as a reference for your career plan.
- By describing the effects brought about by the "Nursing Care" status of residence and the issues that foreign care workers feel, we will provide facilities and businesses with the necessary support for the success of foreign care workers, and encourage further foreign care workers. Promote support for the active participation of human care staff.
Structure of case collection
- What is the "caregiving" residence status?
- Effects of residence status “Nursing”
- Case studies of 10 foreign care workers with the residence status “Nursing” (Note: Classified by training facility route and work experience route)
- Issues facing those with "caregiving" status
- Support needed by foreign care workers (to become a facility of choice)
- Support that should be used by foreign care workers with the residence status of “Nursing Care”
