Introduction of the association
At the tea ceremony circle of the Daimaru Women's Association, it was said that ``Recently, there are fewer wild flowers for tea ceremony.'' At that time, the development of Tama New Town was approaching in this area, so 25 people gathered together with the idea, ``We can't let things go on like this. Let's protect the wildflowers.'' Many of them were familiar with the wildflowers but didn't know their names. We started by learning their names, creating a wildflower garden, painting old wood from a joinery shop, and attaching name tags. As he toured wildflower gardens and visited wildflower gardens around the country and continued studying with instructors, he became fascinated with wildflowers, and two years later, in April 1980, the Daimaru Wildflower Society was officially established. did.
We have participated in a variety of events, held potted wildflower displays, sold them on the spot, and sampled wildflower tempura and wildflower tea, in an effort to communicate with visitors about the importance of an environment in which wildflowers grow. In 1991, we received the Minister of Construction's Commendation, and in 1994, we received the Prime Minister's Commendation.
In 1991, it was replanted in Shiroyama Park, Inagi City, and now more than 150 species of wildflowers can be enjoyed in all seasons.
In 2002, we registered with the ADAPT system, and are now managing and cleaning the Shiroyama Park Wildflower Garden, as well as replanting flowers and cleaning the planting area along City Route 436.
We would like to continue to strive to be a place where everyone can relax and become familiar.
