Yomiuri Giants Baseball Stadium Tour

First, we went down from the stands to the ground and took a tour.

The Yomiuri Giants Stadium has natural grass in the fair zone, but the foul zone has been replaced with artificial grass. Artificial turf contains a natural cushioning material, which has the effect of lowering the surface temperature, leading to a countermeasure against the heat of the summer. This artificial turf will also be used in the new Yomiuri Giants Stadium, which will be completed in Inagi City in March 2025.

Next, they toured every corner of the bullpen (pitching practice field), the benches, and the indoor practice field attached to the stadium, all the places they would normally never be able to enter.

The indoor practice area is very spacious inside.

Tour of the Shin-Yomiuri Giants dormitory

In addition to the players' rooms, we toured the New Yomiuri Giants dormitory, which was just completed in November 2020, including the training room and indoor pool. As this is a special place that players are never allowed to enter after moving into their dormitory, the participants were very enthusiastic about touring the area.

At the end of the tour, we were served lunch with the same menu that the athletes ate at the dormitory cafeteria. The main menu for this day was ``Curry Nanban Soba/Udon'' and ``Taco Rice,'' along with salads and small side dishes. The participants were very satisfied with the delicious and nutritious selection of items to support the athletes. It was like that.

Parent-child baseball class taught by the Yomiuri Giants women's team

A baseball lesson was held by the Yomiuri Giants women's team, directed by Inagi City Tourism Ambassador Kazutomo Miyamoto.

The players on the girls' team taught the basic baseball movements of hitting, catching, and throwing from the children's perspective in a fun and easy-to-understand manner. Some of the children in attendance had no experience with baseball, but they listened carefully to what the coach had to say and worked hard.

At the end, a mini-game was played with the girls' team players. The indoor practice field was very lively due to the heated development!
