The anime series "Mobile Suit Gundam" is extremely popular around the world. It is a popular series with new works being produced even now. The first "Mobile Suit Gundam" started broadcasting in 1979. It threw a stir at the robot anime that was targeted at elementary school students at the time, such as a solid story that is not about good and bad, a drama spun by attractive characters, and a mobile suit design based on the world view of the story. It was an ambitious work as the third original work of Sunrise, a recently established animation production company.
In Vol.10, Mr. Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, who was in charge of character design and animation director for "Mobile Suit Gundam", Mr. Kenichi Matsuzaki, who set the base world view and wrote the script for depicting the war in space, and later Real Mr. Kunio Okawara, who designed the "mobile suit" that laid the groundwork for the robot category, will talk about how this timeless masterpiece was created, including behind-the-scenes production stories from the time.

Kunio Okawara (Mechanical Designer)
Born in 1947, from Tokyo. Lives in Inagi City. Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University. Joined Tatsunoko Production Co., Ltd. (now Tatsunoko Production Co., Ltd.) in 1972. After "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman", he specialized in mecha design. Free since 1978. In Sunrise's work, he was in charge of mechanical design for real robot animations such as "Mobile Suit Gundam" and "Armored Trooper Votoms" to super robot animations such as the Brave series. Currently, in addition to animation work, he is energetically active both in Japan and overseas, receiving offers for car design and figure design from overseas. Received the Distinguished Service Award at the 2013 Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Arts Festival.

Mr. Yoshikazu Yasuhiko
Born December 9, 1947 in Engaru-cho, Monbetsu-gun, Hokkaido. manga artist.
After attending Engaru High School and Hirosaki University, he entered the Mushi Pro Training School in 1970 and became an animator. After working for Mushi Pro, he became a freelancer and has been involved in numerous animation works such as "Space Battleship Yamato", "Brave Raideen", and "Invincible Steel Man Zambot 3". Involved in "Mobile Suit Gundam" as a character designer and animation director. After 1990, he left the animation production site to become a cartoonist, and won numerous awards mainly for his historical works such as "Namji", "Rainbow Trotsky", and "The Royal Dog".
Serialized "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN" from 2001 to 2011. The same work was made into an anime, and he also served as general director, returning to the anime scene for the first time in about 25 years.
The anime "Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucursudoan's Island" released in June 2022 has also been well received.

Mr. Kenichi Matsuzaki
Born October 15, 1950. Born in Tokyo. screenwriter. Operated the sci-fi visual doujinshi "SF Central Art" while in college. After graduating, he established Crystal Art Studio with his friends Haruka Takachiho (Kinnori Takekawa at the time), Kazuki Miyatake, and Naoyuki Kato. In 1974, it was reorganized into Studio Nue.
In the early days, he was also active as an illustrator, and participated in the design cooperation for "Space Battleship Yamato". After that, he turned to the screenwriter from "Invincible Steel Man Daitarn 3", wrote the screenplay for "Mobile Suit Gundam" and "Legendary Giant Ideon" and studied science fiction. Involved in works such as "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross" as the original, screenplay, and series composition. We planned and published "Space Soaring Warriors GUNDAMCENTURY" as a special edition of "Monthly OUT", where you can enjoy the world view, mechanical settings, and military history of "Mobile Suit Gundam" from a different angle than the anime work. Currently freelance, he writes not only anime but also game originals and screenplays.

Born in 1971, from Ibaraki prefecture. He writes mainly about movies, animation, and hobbies. Written for Monthly Gundam Ace, Monthly Hobby Japan, Monthly Cinema Walker, Animage Plus, MOVIE WALKER PRESS, etc. He also composes and writes booklets for soft packages of Gundam series such as "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN" and "Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Platoon". Authored "Yoshikazu Yasuhiko My Back Pages" (Ohta Publishing), "Master Grade Gunpla Ism" (Ohta Publishing), etc.

Inagi Transmission Base Pair Terrace Workshop [Canceled due to rain forecast]

Named after the sightseeing center of Mechanical City Inagi, the ``Inagi Outpost Pair Terrace Workshop'' is a Japanese manufacturing experience workshop where both adults and children can enjoy original workshops designed by various companies. It's an event.
