[Thank you for participating] Citizens' Walking Event [Saturday, November 23, 2024 (National Holiday)]

Updated: December 5, 2024

 A citizens' interaction walking event was held, sponsored by the Inagi Citizens' Charter Promotion Council.
It was a cold day with a north wind blowing that day, but we were blessed with good weather and the paths through the rural mountains were easy to walk on.
The number of participants was double that of last year, as the starting point and the finish point were the same, and there were many requests to go to Minamiyama in last year's survey. Initially, we announced on this website that the charcoal kiln could not be visited due to circumstances (collapse of the kiln), but we are pleased to report that it was restored by the time of the walking event, and it was possible to visit.
This year, as a surprise for participants, we arranged a tour and explanation of Myokenson, an Inagi City Important Cultural Property.
We also heard about the benefits of the three pine trees at Myoken-ji Temple (increased financial luck), which made the experience even more fulfilling.
After lunch, we had a recreational activity called "Mölkky," where the team competition was very exciting. The smiles of the participants and the sight of strangers talking to each other while playing the game made us feel the warmth of the community. In addition, with the cooperation of Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance, a veggie check (vegetable intake) and vascular age measurement were also conducted this year, which was very well received.

<Course (planned) walking distance approximately 5 kilometers>

Inagi City Hall Rest Area → Inagi Station → Minamiyama/Satoyama → Myokenson → Myokenji Temple → Hyakumura Shinka Children's Park (lunch, recreation) → Inagi Station → Inagi City Hall Rest Area <br id="3"/>Note: Due to circumstances, it is no longer possible to visit the "charcoal kiln." Thank you for your understanding.
Note: The course may be changed depending on the number of participants and weather. Thank you for your understanding.
Note: Recreation at Mölkky is voluntary.
