Recruitment of firefighting support volunteers

1 What is a firefighting support volunteer?

In the event of a large-scale natural disaster that occurs in Inagi City, fire department personnel and volunteers will work together to promptly respond to disaster relief efforts to provide support to fire departments, such as reducing damage and preventing the spread.

2 Activities

(1) In the event of a disaster, we will work with fire department personnel and volunteer fire brigade members to carry out the following activities:

  • Emergency relief activities
  • Supporting firefighting efforts
  • Supporting rescue operations
  • Disaster information collection activities
  • Support for emergency measures such as setting up and operating evacuation centers
  • Other support activities

(2) Every year, we participate in rescue/rescue training, lifesaving classes, firefighting ceremonies, community disaster prevention drills, etc.

3 Compensation system for disaster activities, etc.

In case you are injured while training or supporting firefighting activities, you will purchase insurance at public expense.

4 Loaned items and provided items

Items provided: Fire support volunteer registration card, armband, helmet

Benefits: jumper, hat, whistle

5 Registration requirements

In principle, those who live, work or attend school in Inagi City and are 16 years of age or older and meet any of the following requirements: (1) Those who are willing to support firefighting and disaster prevention activities (2) Those who have knowledge of first aid (3) Persons with past experience as members of a fire department or youth firefighting club. (4) Persons with qualifications and skills necessary to support post-earthquake recovery activities.
