When I went to a medical institution outside of Tokyo, I couldn't use my medical certificate for infants and children in compulsory education. I would like to know how to claim the medical expenses subsidy.

Updated: February 28, 2014

Payment at the counter (benefit in kind) with a medical certificate is only available at medical institutions in Tokyo. If you have paid medical expenses for your child's insurance at a medical institution outside of Tokyo, please attach the receipt you paid to the "Application for Medical Subsidies" and apply to the Child Care Support Division. After the examination, we will transfer to the registered account. (About 2 months later)
