Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Torch Relay Momentum Building Experience Event (August 19th)
The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Torch Relay lighting event was held at Frendo Hirao, a complex facility. On the day of the event, the event was held after taking measures to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infections, and about 50 participants, mainly children, attended. At the venue, we had a fire-making experience, a wheelchair basket experience, and a prosthetic leg experience. Katsumi Miyake (former member of the Japanese wheelchair basketball team) also gave a lecture on his experiences at the Paralympics. At the end of the event, the representative put out the fire that the participants had set in the lantern.

Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Torch Relay Lighting Ceremony (held on August 20)
The fire that was lit on August 19th was unveiled at Ikoi Square on the north side of the city hall, and a departure ceremony was held. After the departure ceremony, the fire from Inagi City was carried to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, where it became the Olympic flame for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, along with other fires from local governments.

The seed light lit in Inagi City became part of the torch and was connected by torch runners.
