If you wish to request a taxation (tax exemption) certificate by mail, please enclose the following four items and send it to the Taxation Division.

Please obtain the application form from the following application form download page. You may also write it on a piece of letter paper, following the example of the mail request application form you obtained.
Please purchase it at the post office as it is required as a handling fee.
(1) If sent by mail, each certificate costs 400 yen. Please be sure to include the same amount as the number of requests and do not leave any change .
(2) The validity period is 6 months from the date of issue. For administrative purposes, we ask that you send us a fixed-amount money order with at least 10 days remaining in validity .
(3) Please send the fixed amount money order with both sides blank .

A personal signature of the person certifying is required.
Note: If you are not an Inagi citizen at the time the application is received, a power of attorney is required even if you are a relative who lives with you .
Example: If you need certificates for both husband and wife, you will need two application forms and one power of attorney (from husband to wife, from wife to husband, etc.).
