moving-in notification

If you move to Inagi City from another municipality or from overseas, you must submit a resident registration notification.
Please refer to the following PDF file for various procedures associated with moving in.

Notification period

Within 14 days from the date you started living

Notification place

Note: Changes to the resident registration of households that include foreign residents cannot be processed at branch offices. Please come to the Citizens Section on the 1st floor of City Hall.

Reporter

Note: The power of attorney must be signed by the person who entrusted it.

Items required for notification

Moving in from Japan

1. Moving-out certificate (Issued at the municipal office of the previous address. Not required for those who have submitted a moving-out notification using a My Number Card or a Basic Resident Registration Card.)
2 Identity verification documents of the notifier
3 My Number Card (Individual Number Card) and Basic Resident Register Card for all move-ins Note: Only those who have
4 Resident card, special permanent resident certificate, etc. (for all foreign residents who have moved)

Moving in from abroad

1 Passport (with a stamp of the return date for all those who have moved)
Note: If you used the automated gates, please bring your airline ticket stubs and luggage tags that show the return date.
2 A copy of the family register and an appendix to the family register (all Japanese people who have moved are listed)
3 Resident card, special permanent resident certificate, etc. (for all foreign residents who have moved )
4 Documents certifying the relationship with the householder (for all foreign residents who have moved)
Note: Documents certifying relationship Examples: Original documents issued by government agencies such as birth certificates and marriage certificates (with translations)

Required only if applicable

Necessary items such as a seal and procedures vary depending on the individual.

Note: Only City Hall is open on holidays.

Exceptions for notification of moving in (persons with My Number Card or Basic Resident Registration Card)

If you have submitted a moving-out notification using your My Number Card (personal number card) or Basic Resident Registration Card, special provisions for moving-in notification will be applied. For more information, please check the "Special Cases for Notification of Moving In" page.
