Rent debt guarantee system

Last updated: December 6, 2016

Contents

We provide housing support for elderly people who wish to continue living in Inagi City but have difficulty signing a contract for private rental housing because they do not have a guarantor. By paying the initial guarantee fee (annual guarantee fee from the second year onwards), you can receive a financial guarantee from a private guarantee company from the time you move in until the time you move out. The city will subsidize a portion of the initial guarantee fee paid to a private guarantee company.

Eligible households (households that meet all of the following criteria)

(1) A single-person household aged 65 years or older or a household consisting of persons aged 65 years or older. (2) Having an address and living in the city for at least one year. (3) Moving to private rental housing in the city. (4) You must have emergency contact information (relatives, acquaintances, etc.) (5) You cannot currently find a guarantor.

Contents and scope of debt guarantee

(1) Amount equivalent to monthly rent, monthly common area fee, monthly parking fee, etc. (2) Expenses required for removing household goods left behind when moving out of residence (equivalent to actual expenses)
(3) Costs required to restore the house to its original condition when moving out (amount based on approval from a private guarantee company)
(4) Costs required for legal proceedings such as trials (equivalent to actual costs)

About guarantee fee

The guarantee fee paid to the private guarantee company by the head of household who wishes to use this system is as follows.
(1) The initial guarantee fee is the amount obtained by multiplying the monthly rent, etc. in the rental contract by 1/2.
(If there is a fraction less than 1 yen, round it down)
(2) The annual guarantee fee from the second year onwards will be 10,000 yen.
Note: The city will only subsidize the initial guarantee fee in (1) (from 20,000 yen to 40,000 yen)
