Requirements for managers of designated home care support facilities

Regarding managers of in-home care support establishments, in the 2018 revision of long-term care remuneration, the ``Standards for Personnel and Management of Designated In-Home Care Support Businesses'' (Ministry of Health and Welfare Ordinance No. 38 of 1999, hereinafter referred to as the ``Standards Ordinance'') was established. ) has been revised, and the requirements for the administrator have been changed from Nursing Care Support Specialist to Chief Nursing Care Support Specialist. There was a transitional measure to postpone the application until March 31, 2021, but we would like to inform you that the grace period has been further extended until the end of March 2021.

Administrator requirements (Note: Contents after revision)

After April 1, 2021, the person who will become the manager of a designated home care support facility will be a chief care manager, regardless of the facility.
However, after April 1, 2021, in cases where the chief care manager can no longer be appointed as the manager due to unforeseen circumstances (death of the manager who is also the chief care manager, the occurrence of health issues such as long-term treatment, sudden retirement or relocation, etc.), the requirement to appoint the manager as the chief care manager will be deferred for one year if a plan for securing a manager is submitted to Inagi City and approval is obtained.

Notification form

Plan for securing a manager (contents of notification)
・Reason for why it is difficult to appoint a chief long-term care support specialist as a manager ・The reason for the difficulty is expected to be resolved (Describe as specifically as possible the content and timing of the plan for expected resolution.)

Delay in applying administrator requirements

As of March 31, 2021, for designated in-home care support offices whose manager is a person who is not a chief long-term care support specialist, as long as the manager is the manager, the manager will be considered the chief long-term care support specialist. The application of the requirements will be postponed until March 31, 2020.
Note: If you change the administrator after April 1, 2021, the qualification of Chief Nursing Care Support Specialist will be required.
