Firefighting team members (including support group members) are paid a fixed amount of money each year as compensation, and are also paid an allowance when they participate in disasters, training, etc.
In the event that a member of the fire brigade suffers an accident in the course of official duties, the city will compensate the affected member or his or her bereaved family for the damage caused by the disaster, as well as promote the reintegration of the affected member into society and provide relief to the bereaved family. Clothes necessary for firefighting activities will be provided.
Awards will be given to those who have demonstrated meritorious service and accomplishments in their work.
It is also possible to obtain many qualifications such as disaster prevention officer, small vehicle construction machine operator, oxygen deficient/hydrogen sulfide hazardous work chief, and third-class land special radio operator.
