I have forgotten the PIN number for my Basic Resident Register card, what should I do?

You will need to reset your PIN. Please bring your Basic Resident Register card to the Citizens Section of the city hall and apply. Re-setting will be completed on the day of application using the following identity verification documents.
(1) If you have a driver's license with an IC chip (Please enter 2 types of 4-digit PIN numbers)
(2) If you have a driver's license without an IC chip, a passport, or a handicapped person's certificate (you will also need to present another identity verification document such as a health insurance card).
(3) If you have a resident registration card with a face photo (You will also need to present another identity verification document such as a health insurance card.)
If the above does not apply, resetting the PIN will not be completed on the day of application. We will send an inquiry form to the applicant by mail, so please answer it there, and when you come to the office after bringing the inquiry form again, the resetting will be completed.
