In this year, which is changing from "Heisei" to "Reiwa", on April 1, 2019, Inagi City also celebrated the 130th anniversary of the birth of "Inagi Village" in 1889. rice field.
This year, the city held a project commemorating the 130th anniversary of the implementation of the Inagi village system as an opportunity to look back on the history of Inagi, which has continued since the Meiji era.
The record was compiled as "Inagi Village System 130th Anniversary Commemorative Business Achievement Report".

In creating a commemorative postcard as a commemorative project for the 130th anniversary of the enforcement of the Inagi village system, we held a public competition for designs.
From among the submitted works, we selected a design that would be suitable for the design commemorating the 130th anniversary of the establishment of the Inagi Village System and that could promote Inagi City, and created a postcard.
The completed postcards were distributed at events such as the 130th anniversary of the implementation of the Inagi village system, starting with the I no Machi Inagi Citizen Festival.

A photo exhibition introducing the past of "Inagi" was held at the first floor lobby of the city hall and at the I-no-Machi Inagi Citizen Festival.

Inagi history lecture & quiz competition

On February 8th, a lecture on the history of Inagi and a quiz competition were held at the Inagi Central Cultural Center to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the enforcement of the Inagi village system. Nearly 100 people attended the event.

At the lecture, Mr. Akio Sakurai, chairman of the Inagi City Council for the Protection of Cultural Properties, explained the history from the Edo period, when the six villages of Yanoguchi, Naganuma, Daimaru, Hyakumura, Sakahama, and Hirao were established, to 1889, when Inagi Village was born. He gave a lecture on the Inagi area and its historical flow.

In addition, at the quiz competition, quizzes related to the contents of the lecture were given, and the students were able to deepen their understanding and affection for Inagi.
After all the participants answered the quiz correctly, we held a rock-paper-scissors competition with the mayor, and the 10 remaining winners were presented with sweets, a specialty of Inagi City.

Station "8JI130IV" of the 130th anniversary of the Inagi village system enforcement was operated.

The 130th anniversary of the enforcement of the Inagi village system for three months from October 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019 by the "Inagi Amateur Radio Club", which is based on the "Inagi City Amateur Radio Disaster Information Cooperation Association". Commemorative station "8JI130IV" was operated.
In addition to public operation at Inagi City fire drills and the I-no-Machi Inagi Citizens' Festival, we have been able to communicate with people outside the city and abroad through the operation of amateur radio stations from various places in the city, Mt. We sent out information on "Inagi" and "Inagi" to amateur radio stations and had them promote Inagi City.
