The role of street trees

Street trees have the following roles:

  1. It adds color and seasonal feel to the cityscape and improves the scenery along the road.
  2. It helps alleviate the heat island effect by protecting pedestrians from the strong summer sun, and by controlling the rise in surrounding temperatures through the transpiration effect of the leaves.
  3. The leaves reduce carbon dioxide through photosynthesis and purify the air by adsorbing air pollutants.
  4. Separates cars and pedestrians to protect pedestrian safety.
  5. Reduces traffic noise.
  6. It helps prevent the spread of fires along the road and prevents houses from collapsing in the event of an earthquake.
