The road from Daimaru to Shiroyama Park
Updated: April 1, 2023
If you turn left at the side road on the way to Enshoji on Yamazaki-dori, the slope continues.
If you go further, you will see a narrow slope that passes in front of a private house. Climb the narrow road (steep slope) and you will reach a small square.
If you climb the wooden stairs behind it, you will arrive at Hitsujisan Park. Hold hands on the stairs and walk slowly.
There are trees on both sides, so the road continues in the shade. Toilets and taps are available at Hitsujisan Park.
After passing Hitsujisan Park and walking for a while, you will see the stairs leading to the mountain on your right. From here we will enter the mountain path, so let's hold hands and proceed more slowly.
Climb up the mountain while feeling nature with your whole body, such as the voice of birds, the changing leaves of trees, and the acorns in autumn. If you can't walk on mountain roads yet, paved roads are recommended.
Be careful when walking down the mountain road. A small square that spreads out where you got off. The view is very nice here. You can also see the new bridge. There are also small grasshoppers depending on the season, so please look forward to it. There are also benches so you can take a break.
If you go further, you will see a bridge leading to Shiroyama Park. Cross the bridge and go straight. You can see Hachinomaru, commonly known as "Otama Pond". Depending on the season, tadpoles will show their faces. In the summer, many watermelons and dragonflies gather in the pond. Mosquitoes in the summer... Let's get absorbed in playing and be careful not to fall out of the pond. This area is surrounded by mountains, so you may be able to find beautiful leaves and acorns in autumn.
If you go slowly down the slope, depending on the season, lizards and small insects will appear out of nowhere, and I think they will capture the hearts of children.
In autumn, acorns roll around. There is a map signboard of Shiroyama Park at the place where you got off the slope. And here is the end.
Of course, you can also walk the opposite course. You can feel the change of nature through a walk, touch the voice of birds and insects, and have a valuable experience. Walking keeps your mind and body strong.
Why don't you take a walk with your family while chatting happily?
