Shiroyama Park
Updated: April 1, 2023
When you go down the slope in front of the central library, you will see a sign for the entrance of Shiroyama Park on your left. If you take a leisurely climb up the slope from the entrance, you will come to a pond called "Hachinomaru".
Hachinomaru used to have beautiful lotus flowers blooming, but now it has completely changed. It is commonly called Otama Pond, and depending on the time of year, tadpoles and water striders may appear in good health. If you follow the paved road with the ladle pond on your right and pass under the wisteria trellis, you will arrive at a spacious lawn square.
A stone slide lies on the edge of the lawn square.
For small children, an adult should hold the hand and slide so that they do not fall.
The lawn is lush and pleasant, and it is a grassy square that makes you want to start running.
It's a park with enough space to play "wait wait".
Take a break in the shade when it gets hot. Eating lunch, drinking tea... You can enjoy picnic mood.
