About activity of local welfare officer, children's committee

In Inagi City, 64 local welfare officers, children's committee members, and chief children's committee members are currently engaged in various activities to improve the welfare of people living in the area. Local welfare officers, children's committee members, and chief children's committee members have a duty of confidentiality, so please feel free to contact us.

(1) Acting as an antenna It acts as an antenna to identify people who need welfare among the citizens in the area they are in charge of. I watch over children, the elderly, and the disabled on a daily basis.
(2) Counseling Service As a familiar counselor for citizens, we receive consultations from people who need support, such as the elderly, people with disabilities, and households raising children. In addition, the Inagi City Welfare Center, a complex welfare facility, offers consultations on concerns.
(3) Function of providing information We provide citizens with the contents and information of the social welfare system and various services.
(4) Communication/reporting work We are active as a liaison between local residents and administrative agencies, such as receiving consultations from people who need support and contacting or reporting to administrative agencies such as welfare offices.
(5) Coordination Work We coordinate with related organizations so that those who need support can receive appropriate services.
(6) Livelihood support activities Depending on the situation of those who need support, we watch over them, talk to them, and visit them.
(7) Working as an Opinion When there is a new problem in the area through the activities of local welfare officers and children's committee members, we offer opinions to the administration.

In addition, we are mainly engaged in the following activities.

  • Plenary meeting of the Inagi Citizen Student Committee Committee
  • Discussions with school teachers, child guidance centers, etc.
  • Conducting a survey on watching over the elderly
  • Support for people requiring assistance during a disaster
  • Local cleanup activities
  • Morning greetings exercise at elementary and junior high schools
  • security patrol
  • Co-sponsoring the “Gathering of Appreciation for Otoshiyori”
  • Cooperating with the Inagi City Social Welfare Council's year-end cooperation campaign
  • Public Welfare Commissioner PR Exhibition
  • Visits to welfare facilities, etc. and study sessions
