About the activities of local welfare commissioners and children's commissioners
In Inagi City, 64 local welfare commissioners, children's commissioners, and chief children's commissioners are currently engaged in a variety of activities to improve the welfare of people living in the area. Welfare commissioners, children's commissioners, and chief children's commissioners are obligated to maintain confidentiality, so please feel free to consult with us.
(1) Acting as an antenna: Acting as an antenna to identify citizens in the area in need of welfare. On a daily basis, we watch over children, the elderly, and the disabled.
(2) Consultation function As a familiar consultation partner for citizens, we receive consultation from people who need support, such as the elderly, people with disabilities, and households with children. In addition, you can consult with your concerns at the Inagi City Welfare Center, a complex welfare facility.
(3) Function of providing information We provide citizens with content and information about the social welfare system and various services.
(4) Communication and Reporting Functions We act as a conduit between local residents and administrative agencies, receiving consultations from people who need support, and communicating and reporting to administrative agencies such as welfare offices.
(5) Coordination function We coordinate with related organizations to ensure that people who need support receive appropriate services.
(6) Lifestyle support functions Depending on the situation of people in need of support, we watch over, talk to them, and visit them.
(7) Function of submitting opinions When a new issue arises in the community through the activities of the local welfare officer and children's committee, we submit opinions to the administration.
In addition to this, we mainly carry out the following activities:
- General meeting of the Inagi Citizens’ Children’s Committee
- Discussions with school teachers, child guidance centers, etc.
- Conducting a survey on monitoring the elderly
- Support for people requiring assistance during disasters
- Local cleaning activities
- Morning greeting campaign at elementary and junior high schools
- crime prevention patrol
- Sponsoring the “Gathering of Gratitude for the New Year”
- Cooperation with the Inagi City Social Welfare Council's Year-End Mutual Aid Campaign
- Holding a public welfare committee PR exhibition
- Visits to welfare facilities, etc. and study sessions
