Main annual events at Kamiyato Ryokuchi Experience Learning Center

Takenokobori (late April)

We will go into the bamboo forest near the hands-on learning center and dig for bamboo shoots.
Why not try digging bamboo shoots with your own hands?

Boys' Festival (late April to early May)

May Doll Exhibition
Historic May dolls brought by residents of the city will be exhibited at the Experience Learning Center.
In the park, carp streamers, Banner ( ) Please come and see the carp streamers swaying comfortably in the Kamiyato breeze.

Kashiwamochi making (early May)

The kashiwamochi offerings on the Boys' Festival on May 5th are a nostalgic treat. Mortar ( ) and Pestle ( ) We use this to pound rice cakes.
Once the rice cakes are pounded, they are wrapped in oak leaves and finished.
The children also seemed to enjoy making them.

Wheat threshing (early June)

We will thresh the wheat grown in the field in front of the Experience Learning Center using a nostalgic thresher.
The drum, which is shaped like a hedgehog, is attached to the round area in the center, and as the drum rotates, the wheat attached to it is picked up. Rice ( ) Drop it.
Also, straw ( ) etc. will be discharged to the front.

Harvest Festival (early November)

Participants will experience harvesting sweet potatoes, taro, and other sweet potatoes grown in the fields around the learning center.
We also hold a variety of events such as work presentations.

Hina doll exhibition (late February to early March)

Kamiyato ( ) Hydrophilic ( ) In the park Kamiyato ( ) The Hina dolls and related materials donated by everyone will be exhibited at the Ryokuchi Experience Learning Center.
Enjoy Hinamatsuri, a festival where everyone forgets their age and becomes a child again.
