Let's draw something during the summer vacation! We are calling for "Environmental Posters for FY2024"

Inagi City promotes sustainable urban development and aims to achieve the SDGs through its realization.
In order to pass on Inagi, an environmental town where people and nature coexist harmoniously, to future generations, we are looking for works that each citizen can share and arouse issues such as "food loss countermeasures", "waste reduction and resource waste recycling", and "garbage and cigarette butt littering" in order to protect the rich natural environment and living environment.

  1. Waste Reduction and Recycling Division: "Reducing food waste (leftovers and food waste), reducing plastic waste, promoting the 5Rs (refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle, respect), and other waste reduction, sorting, and recycling-related issues."
  2. Littering Prohibition Division "Things related to the beautification of the town's environment, such as prohibiting littering and taking pet droppings home."
  3. Street Smoking Prohibition Division "Prohibition of smoking on the street, self-restraint of smoking while walking, prohibition of littering cigarette butts, etc."

About winning works

  • The prize-winning works will be exhibited at the "Environmental Poster Exhibition" held at the Central Cultural Center and Shiroyama Experience Learning Center.
  • The names, school names, and grades of winners will be announced at the time of exhibition or publication. Please note.
  • Prize winners will receive a certificate and a supplementary prize.

Utilization of award-winning works

The work will be digitized and used for the following purposes.

  • We use three points of best works for cover of "garbage, recycling calendar" which city distributes.
  • The best works for theme 1 will be attached to the garbage trucks running in the city, and the best works will be displayed in the Tamagawa Hygiene Association tour passage.
  • The best works and excellent works of themes 2 and 3 will be distributed as enlightenment materials to citizens who have trouble with dog droppings and littering.

Application rules

  • Size: quartered drawing paper
  • Color: Free (however, cutouts and pasted pictures are not allowed)

Application method

  1. Please collect applications from municipal elementary and junior high schools and groups.
  2. For those other than 1, please mail or submit directly to the Life Environment Division.
  3. Please fill out the necessary information on the "2024 Environmental Poster Application Form" and submit it along with your work.
  4. Please fill in the necessary information on the back of the work (chosen theme number, address, name (furigana), age, phone number, school name and grade for elementary and junior high school students) and apply.

Application period

From Monday, September 2, 2024 to Friday, October 11, 2024

Judging method/judging announcement

  • Divided into three themes, elementary and junior high school students will be judged by generation, and high school students and above will be judged as a general division.
  • Theme 1 will be reviewed by the Inagi City Waste Reduction Promotion Council. Themes 2 and 3 will be judged by the "Citizens' Council to Clean Up Inagi City".
  • 30 works will be selected from each generation as excellent works, and one work from each theme will be selected as the best work.
  • The results of the screening will be notified through the school or organization that applied. If you apply as an individual, we will confirm the notification.
  • Participation prizes will be given to all applicants. A certificate and a supplementary prize will be given to the excellent work in each theme.

Others

  • Entries must be original and unpublished works.
  • The copyright of the submitted work belongs to the organizer (Inagi City).
  • We may exhibit the works that have been digitized at events held by the city.
  • Submissions cannot be made by multiple people.
  • Entries will be returned through the school or organization. However, please note that the return time may differ depending on the award winning work. Individual applicants will be returned directly.
  • When compiling applications from each school or organization, please create a list of applicants using the "2024 Environmental Poster Application Form" and submit it along with the posters.
  • Works that do not meet the conditions of "theme", "eligibility", "application rules", "application method", and "application period" will not be judged.
