For households with kumitori toilets, we do kumitori work once a month.
In areas where the sewage system has been in service for 3 years, a fee is charged from the first time, and in other areas, from the second time a month.
Note: From April 1, 2020, the human waste disposal fee will be changed to 1,530 yen per time.

Kumitori of the office

Reservations are required at the business office of the toilet (including temporary toilets). The price is 1,020 yen per 1 tar (36 liters), and it is a pay-as-you-go system.
I work on weekday afternoons. Please apply by calling the Living Environment Division. In the case of a construction site, prepare a map of the site.

When we install septic tank other than area where public sewer is available, prior report is necessary.

As for the management of septic tank, manager is obliged to do next by "septic tank method". In order not to pollute the river, please cooperate with the maintenance of the septic tank.

Cleaning (removal of sludge, etc.)

Cleaning is required at least once a year. For cleaning, please apply to a “septic tank cleaning business license” that has received a city license. For those who are registered with the city, part of the cleaning expenses will be subsidized (once a year).
Note: Due to the revision of the consumption tax law, a tax rate of 10% will be applied from October 1, 2019.

Maintenance and inspection (regular inspection, adjustment and repair)

Depending on the processing method and the number of personnel to be processed, please receive maintenance inspections from 2 to 12 times a year.

Legal inspection (regular inspection)

After 6 months of new use and once a year, please take a regular checkup. Please ask the Tama branch office of the Tokyo Metropolitan Environment Public Corporation for the inspection. Telephone 042-595-7982

Beware of suspicious traders

We have received information about a suspicious trader who claims to have come to inspect at the request of the city. The city does not request inspections, so if you have any questions, please contact the Environment Division.

In order to prevent rivers and waterways from being polluted by domestic wastewater, we subsidize part of the installation cost for those who install a combined treatment septic tank that treats human waste and miscellaneous wastewater together. When you receive assistance, please apply for grant of subsidy before construction start construction.

For those who have set up a suction hole for miscellaneous wastewater and are registered with the city, part of the cleaning cost is subsidized up to three times a year. Please apply for cleaning to a contractor who received a commission from the city.
