Regarding declaration of reduction in sewage discharge amount

Updated: June 28, 2023

Sewerage fees are calculated based on the Inagi City Sewerage Ordinance, assuming that the amount of water used by the city's waterworks or well is equal to the amount of wastewater discharged.
However, if there is a significant difference between the amount of water used and the amount of wastewater discharged into the public sewer system due to factors such as evaporation of water from cooling towers or watering of grounds, you may declare this (declaration of reduced water volume).

Notes

Certification of water reduction applies only to sewerage water usage. All installation costs for private water meters (meters), management costs after installation, replacement costs (according to the Measurement Act, water meters must be replaced once every 8 years), etc. will be borne by the user (customer). Therefore, please be sure to consider in advance whether the effects can be expected to be sufficient to recover the costs.

Conditions for receiving water reduction

1) Water used in the ice making industry and other business activities.
2) There is a significant difference between the amount of water used for business activities and the amount of water discharged into public sewers.
3) The private water meter used to measure water loss must be certified and within its expiration date.
4) A private water meter must be installed in the water supply pipe in front of the area targeted for water reduction (equipment, faucet, etc.), and must be able to directly measure the amount of water reduced (the amount that is not released into the public sewer system) .
Note: Declaration of water reduction by measurement at the drainage area will not be accepted.
5) Appropriate construction work has been carried out regarding water supply and drainage equipment, etc.
