About recycling plastic waste
In order to promote initiatives such as plastic resource circulation (3R+Renewable) by citizens, governments, and businesses involved in the processing of plastic waste from product design to plastic waste treatment, the ``Act on Promotion of Plastic Resource Circulation, etc.'' was enacted in Reiwa 4. The law came into effect on April 1, 2017, and municipalities are required to make efforts to separate and collect plastics.
Currently, plastic waste discharged from households in Inagi City is collected as combustible or non-combustible garbage, incinerated at the Clean Center Tamagawa, and the generated heat is used for power generation and other purposes. is preparing to separate plastics suitable for recycling from combustible and non-combustible garbage and proceed with recycling.
Act on Promotion of Resource Recycling of Plastics
With regard to plastic waste, the importance of further promoting domestic plastic resource circulation is increasing due to the issue of marine plastic litter, climate change, and the strengthening of waste import regulations in other countries.
