Incineration ash disposal method
Do you know how the garbage generated from your homes is disposed of after it is incinerated and turned into ashes at the "Clean Center Tamagawa" operated by the " Tamagawa Sanitation Association (external link) "?
The generated ash is transported to the Tokyo Tama Ecocement Facility located within the Futatsuzuka disposal site of the Tokyo Tama Wide Area Resource Circulation Association (external link) in Hinode-cho, Tokyo, where it is recycled into ecocement. All household waste generated in Inagi City is recycled and is not sent to landfills.
The Futatsuka disposal site receives garbage from approximately 4 million people from 25 cities and 1 town in the Tama region, and with the understanding and cooperation of Hinode Town, we are working to turn the ash into eco-cement and some cities are using non-flammable Garbage is being landfilled.
It is extremely difficult to create another final disposal site for waste, and there is a limit to the amount of landfill available. Therefore, efforts are being made to extend the life of the disposal site by operating eco-cement facilities.
With the idea that each person brings only the minimum amount of incineration ash into Hinode Town, we will thoroughly separate garbage and recycle items that can be used as resources, such as used paper, old cloth, cans, plastic bottles, and bottles, to further reduce garbage. Thank you for your cooperation.
