Regarding efforts toward commercialization with Tokyo University of Technology (Tamakonekushon)

Updated: March 16, 2023

Regarding efforts toward commercialization

Inagi City Tourism Division, in cooperation with the Inagi City Tourism Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Tourism Association"), will work towards commercialization with the Tokyo University of Technology's School of Computer Science (responsible instructor: Associate Professor Shigeru Hosono) from fiscal year 2023 onwards as part of the Tama Region Microtourism Project (nicknamed Tama Rhythm) in fiscal year 2022.
The impetus for this initiative came at a "draft conference" held at Tokyo Tama Mirai Messe (Tokyo Metropolitan Tama Industrial Exchange Center) on Saturday, December 17, 2022, when our department and the Tourism Association became interested in the plan of "Tama Connection," a team made up of four second-year students from the Department of Computer Science at Tokyo University of Technology, and "voted" to work toward commercializing (putting the plan into practical use).
In the future, we plan to widely promote the app, including holding app experience sessions at Inagi Information Center, Inagi Pair Terrace.

What is Tamakonexion?

Team introduction

Tamakonexion is made up of four second-year students from the Department of Computer Science at Tokyo University of Technology (Yuki Yasuno (leader), Yudai Abe, General Yokoi, and Sung Bin Kim), and is a group that connects people with the charms of the Tama region. This is a team that operates under the guiding principle of "="Tamakonexion." Every day, I study technology development using ICT, such as programming, and work to revitalize the local town by fusing ICT with the charms of the Tama region.

About the app

This time, Tamako Nekushon has developed an app that aims to rediscover the charm of the local area and revitalize the area in a sustainable manner. This app can be easily used by simply logging in to the website, and you can post and share photos of the scenery, local products, shops, and gourmet food that you find during your walk, thereby promoting the charm of the area. It's something you can experience.
The URL of the app is listed below, so please take a look.
