Shared Bicycles

Updated: August 27, 2024

Inagi City is implementing a project that utilizes the shared bicycle service "HELLO CYCLING." Please feel free to use it when you want to go shopping, go sightseeing in the city, or just enjoy cycling!

What is HELLO CYCLING?

HELLO CYCLING is a shared bicycle service that can be used nationwide. You can make reservations and use it at any time from your smartphone. For details of the service, please see HELLO CYCLING - Shared bicycles that you can return anywhere you like (external link).

Note: Shared cycling is a bicycle sharing service that allows users to rent bicycles from various bicycle parking lots (stations) across the country and return the bicycles at any station.

Inagi Cycling Map "Inagi Potari Weather"

Inagi City has produced a cycling map called "Inagi Potari Weather."

  • I want to enjoy cycling, but I don't know where to go...
  • I want to go around the shops, but what route should I take?
  • I want to go somewhere I've never been before!

Please refer to the following information when cycling around the city.
We have four courses that anyone can enjoy, from beginner courses to challenging courses!
Note: Clicking on the image on the right will take you to the "Inagi Potari Weather" page.

Basic usage

  1. Register an account : Download the "HELLO CYCLING" app for smartphones (iOS, Android) and enter your membership information and payment method.
  2. Reservation : After registering your account, you can reserve a bike through the app. The reservation is valid for 30 minutes, and you can reserve a bike at a different HELLO CYCLING station. You can also reserve a station when returning the bike, not just when you use it.
  3. Use & Return : Unlock the bike from the app at the reserved HELLO CYCLING station and return it to the HELLO CYCLING station. If you stop at your destination, you can manually lock it.

Note: For a list of stations within the city, please see Inagi City's Shared Cycle | HELLO CYCLING (external link).

The Road Traffic Act was revised on April 1, 2023, making it mandatory for people to wear helmets when riding bicycles on the road. We ask that everyone who uses bicycle sharing services also make an effort to wear a helmet for the safety of themselves and their families.
Before using a shared bicycle service, be sure to check the bicycle traffic rules .
