Inagi City Women's Fire Prevention Club

Organization overview

The Inagi City Women's Fire Prevention Club was founded in November 1982 by women living in Inagi City as the "Inagi City Women's Fire Prevention Club" with 43 members, and changed its name to the "Inagi City Women's Fire Prevention Club" in 2004.
Based on the basic principles of "protect your own home" and "protect your town with your own hands," as of May 2024, there are 62 club members, mainly housewives, who work to raise awareness of fire prevention, disaster prevention, and crime prevention in the home and community, as well as to create a town where people can live safely and securely.

Main business of Women's Fire Prevention Club

Lifesaving (ordinary lifesaving) workshop

In lifesaving seminars, we conduct seminars on cardiopulmonary resuscitation, how to stop bleeding in the event of major bleeding, necessary first aid measures until an ambulance arrives at the scene, and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Inagi City New Year's parade of firefighters

Every January, the Inagi City Women's Fire Prevention Club participates in the New Year's Firefighting Ceremony, which aims to protect the lives, bodies, and property of citizens and to create a bright, disaster-free town. increase.

Fire and disaster prevention workshop

At the fire prevention/disaster prevention workshop, staff members from the Disaster Prevention Division made a lantern made from canned tuna and slippers made from newspaper using familiar items from the "Tokyo Disaster Prevention" and "Tokyo Life Fire Prevention" distributed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. We hold lectures, and also carry out first-aid training, initial firefighting training, inspection procedures for residential fire alarms, and training for setting up cooking pots.

Inspection workshop

At the inspection workshop, knowledge about fire prevention and disaster prevention is enhanced through disaster prevention lectures and experience tours in each region. In addition, club members will deepen exchanges through tours of disaster prevention facilities and walks around the inspection sites.
