About subsidies for seismic retrofitting of wooden houses

Learning from past earthquakes, Inagi City is supporting the seismic assessment and renovation subsidy program to further promote the seismic reinforcement of wooden homes.

Subsidized housing

Eligible homes are those that have undergone a seismic inspection using the Inagi City Wooden Home Seismic Inspection Subsidy System, or those that have undergone a seismic inspection by an inspection agency listed below, and must meet all of the following criteria: 1 to 5.

  1. Private wooden houses or wooden apartment complexes existing in the city
  2. Those built before May 31, 1981 (including those built after June 1, 1981 and for which building certification was obtained before May 31 of the same year) , must be a residence where you are currently residing.
  3. If one building is used for multiple purposes, the majority of the total area of ​​the building shall be used for housing.
  4. As a result of an earthquake resistance diagnosis, a house that has been diagnosed as having a possibility of collapse will have a rating of 1.0 or higher after earthquake resistance renovation.
  5. The contents of seismic retrofitting must be in accordance with the results of seismic diagnosis.

Diagnostic institution

A person who falls under any of the following.
A. Architectural firm affiliated with the Southern Branch of the Tokyo Association of Architectural Firms

B. An architect office that has been registered as an earthquake resistance diagnosis office based on the Tokyo Metropolitan Wooden House Earthquake Resistance Diagnosis Office Registration System Implementation Guidelines (September 1, 2006, 18 City Construction Plan No. 68)

C. Persons who belong to a business office whose business is based in the city and have completed the earthquake resistance training course conducted by the Japan Architectural Disaster Prevention Association (Architecture Act (Act No. 202 of 1950)) (Limited to first-class architects, second-class architects, or wooden architects prescribed in Article 2)

Grant recipients

The condition is that all of the following apply.

  1. Must actually own the housing eligible for the subsidy. However, if the housing eligible for the subsidy is jointly owned, the person shall have the right of representation based on the agreement of all co-owners.
  2. The owner of the subsidized housing (if the subsidized housing is shared property, all co-owners) and all residents of the subsidized housing (excluding occupants living in shared housing) are not in arrears with their city taxes.

Grant amount

We will subsidize one-half of the cost (excluding tax) required for earthquake retrofitting (up to 1 million yen).

Proxy receipt system

The proxy receipt system is a system in which the construction contractor receives the subsidy on his or her behalf.
Using this system, you can carry out seismic retrofitting by paying only the difference between the seismic retrofit cost and the subsidy to the construction company.

Contractor

A person who operates a construction business with a construction business license pursuant to the provisions of Article 3, Paragraph 1 of the Construction Business Act (Act No. 100 of 1942).

Regarding the Inagi City wooden house seismic retrofit subsidy, even if the construction company is not on this list, if the seismic retrofit work is carried out by a company that has a construction industry permit, it will be eligible for the subsidy. The "Wooden House Earthquake Retrofit Business Seminar", which has been co-sponsored by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Inagi City, and related municipalities since 2018, will be delivered on-demand on the Tokyo Metropolitan Earthquake Resistance Portal site this year. Businesses who have taken the course will be included in the "List of construction companies who have taken the wooden house seismic retrofit business training course," so please contact the Inagi City Urban Development and Revitalization Division.

Please submit your application by Friday, December 13, 2020 .
Note: Even within the deadline, if the budget exceeds the budget, we may ask you to apply in the following year.
In order to receive the subsidy, it is necessary to apply for the subsidy to the city before signing the contract for seismic retrofitting work, so if you are considering receiving the subsidy, please contact the city in advance.

Application for approval of changes, etc.

Please submit your application by Friday , December 20, 2020 .
If you wish to change or cancel the seismic retrofitting, please consult with us regarding the changes in advance .

Completion report

Please submit the report by Friday , February 7, 2020 .
Note: Please submit a completion report as soon as the seismic retrofitting is completed, even if it is within the deadline.
