More than 50% of the buildings owned by the city are more than 30 years old, and are said to rapidly deteriorate. There are serious deteriorations in the buildings, such as water leakage due to deterioration of external walls and roof waterproofing. There have been cases where repairs have to be made without waiting for large-scale renovation work. In 10 years, approximately 80% of buildings will be city-owned buildings that have been constructed for 30 years or more, and it is predicted that there will be an increase in large-scale repairs and renewals of equipment. Appropriate responses to aging buildings are required.
Therefore, in order to ensure that existing city-owned buildings can be used safely and with peace of mind, we will aggregate costs for future renovations and repairs based on the state of deterioration of each city-owned building. In order to carry out efficient and effective repairs and renovations, we have formulated a maintenance and preservation plan for all city-owned buildings.
