Background of formulation

In addition to being an administrative entity, the city also needs to address global warming countermeasures as a business within Inagi City, so in July 2003, the city established the "Global Warming Countermeasures Promotion Implementation Plan" and its countermeasures. We have formulated the ``(First) Inagi City Employee Eco-Action Plan,'' which combines the ``Inagi City Employee Initiative Action Plan,'' and have been working on global warming countermeasures based on this plan.
After that, with the end of the first planning period and changes in the social situation, we formulated the "Second Inagi City Employee Eco-Action Plan" and worked on global warming countermeasures. Another 10 years have passed since its formulation, and various domestic and international movements, including the enactment of laws, can be seen. Amid growing awareness of the crisis surrounding the global environment and major changes in the environment surrounding society, the government made the 2050 Carbon Neutrality Declaration in 2020, and efforts toward a decarbonized society are rapidly accelerating. It is progressing. In our city, we view the issue of global warming as a problem for each of us, and we need to work towards achieving carbon neutrality, so in February 2020, we made the " Inagi City Carbon Neutral Declaration ". I did.
Under these circumstances, we will formulate the "Third Inagi City Employee Eco-Action Plan" for the 10-year planning period from FY2020 to FY2020, and will continue to take initiatives by our employees.
