Naoki Hagiwara (men's goalball), a hometown athlete from Inagi City, won the gold medal.
The message board with the Japanese flag on it was handed to Hagiwara by students from his alma mater, Nagamine Elementary School, at a send-off party.
Hagiwara gave us a photo of him with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Kazuki Nanano made it to the top 8 (tied for 5th place) in both doubles and singles!!
Naoki Hagiwara won the gold medal!
