Measures based on intersection re-inspection have been completed

Since serious traffic accidents have occurred at intersections with crosswalks in other prefectures, from May 11th to May 24th, 2019, in order to ensure the safety of pedestrians, the city center Staff urgently re-inspected major intersections.
For intersections on city roads that were determined to require consideration of countermeasures during this re-inspection, countermeasures such as installing guard pipes will be carried out in sequence, starting with the intersections with the highest priority. The system was installed at 28 intersections and completed.
We will continue to take various measures to prevent traffic accidents from occurring.
