This conference was established as a forum for discussing matters necessary to realize transportation services that are suited to local conditions following the law amending the Road Transport Act, etc., which came into effect on October 1, 2006, and is being established in accordance with that law.
In order to secure transportation such as buses that are necessary for the daily lives of residents in the area and discuss ways to improve the convenience of public transportation, the city has established the Inagi City Regional Public Transportation Council based on the Road Transport Act. We will consider revising the service to improve its convenience.
This is the outline of the Inagi City Regional Public Transportation Conference.
The members of the Transportation Council are comprised of representatives from each district, academic experts, passenger transportation-related businesses, and employees of related administrative agencies.
In addition, in order to deepen the deliberations at the meeting, we have established a Neighborhood Association Representative Study Group, which is made up of 10 representatives from each neighborhood association, and a 13-person committee consisting of neighborhood association representatives and representatives from three civic groups. We have repeatedly held the ``Joint Study Group of Citizen Representatives'' and the ``Bus Operator Study Group'' made up of route bus operators, and are proceeding with deliberations together with citizens and bus operators.
