Regarding new coronavirus infectious disease countermeasures in schools after transition to Category 5 infectious disease
- Even after the disease is classified as a Type 5 infectious disease, measures such as "guidance to children and students," "health monitoring of children and students," "ensuring ventilation," "guidance on hand hygiene such as hand washing," and "guidance on cough etiquette" will be taken. We will take the following steps.
- If the infection situation is under control, we will not take any special measures against infectious diseases other than those listed above.
- As a general rule, wearing masks will not be required during school educational activities. As a measure against heatstroke, students will be instructed to remove masks when exercising.
- If the infection is prevalent, depending on the specific activity situation, ``refrain from close distances, face-to-face conversations, and loud voices and conversations'' and ``maintain physical distance to the extent that children and students do not come into contact with each other.'' We will take measures such as "to do so."
Note: Due to various circumstances such as underlying health conditions, there are children, students, and teachers who wish to wear a mask due to concerns about infection, or who are unable to wear a mask due to health reasons. We will not force people to put on and take off masks, and will provide guidance to prevent discrimination and prejudice based on whether or not they wear a mask.
Regarding handling of attendance etc. related to COVID-19
In the following cases, attendance will be suspended and students will not be absent, late, or leave early.
- If a student becomes infected, they will not be able to attend school for the period stipulated in the Enforcement Regulations of the School Health and Safety Act: "Five days have passed since the onset of symptoms and one day has passed since symptoms have subsided."
- The time required for vaccination when students are vaccinated during the school day.
- If you are absent due to side effects such as fever after receiving the vaccine.
Note: Close contacts will not be suspended from attending.
